Who am I?
My name is Blake Messmer, and I love games. I always have and I always will. From a very young age I knew that making games was what I wanted to do with my life, and I have pursued that. I graduated from Bradley University in December of 2020 with a double-major in Game Design and Religious Studies. Since then I have continued working on my school capstone project, Circuit Breaker, along with the other members of Still Pending Games until its completion and release on Steam. I have also co-developed a side project called Inns & Outcasts, which is live on Kickstarter, a card game of which I am incredibly proud.
My game interests lie heavily in the Warhammer 40k, Pathfinder, and Warcraft universes. Many of my other favorite games include Halo, Gears of War, Mortal Kombat, Super Smash Bros. and a larger number of indie games than I can list here. I have a soft-spot for roguelike games, and I have a dream of one day developing my own.
Outside of games I am a massive fan of Marvel Comics, epic fantasy novels, collecting knick-knacks, and British comedy. I am fascinated by religion and mythology, and think they make amazing storytelling mechanisms. I have an enormous collection of dice, which I would put under the "game" section, but I have more than I can reasonably use to game with so they're more or less decorative.
Oh, also if I were a fantasy character, I would be a dwarf, as you can see below. Everyone tells me this, I hope it's a compliment.
